Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members interested in being appointed to the Zoological Parks Board of NSW. The Minister for Energy and Environment will choose one person from a panel of two persons nominated by Council for appointment to the Taronga Conservation Society Australia Board pursuant to Section 6(1)(e) of the Zoological Parks Board Act 1973.
The current appointment expires 30 June 2022 or earlier if a new appointment is made before that time. The term of the appointment will not exceed five years and appointment for a lesser term is a matter for the Minister.
If you are interested in being nominated to the panel of two nominees for submission to the Minister, please review Parts 2 and 3 of the Zoological Parks Board Act 1973 which details the constitution, powers and authorities of the Board, and submit an EOI form to council@mosman.nsw.gov.au The EOI form is available here or contact 9978 4010.
Completed EOIs should be submitted to Council by Friday, 25 February 2022.
