Consultation has concluded
Council is responding to requests to install additional motorcycle/scooter parking on The Esplanade, near Awaba Street, adjacent to Edwards Beach. A proposal involving the conversion of a single existing parking space (2P RPS Parking) into a motorcycle parking area is being investigated.
The principle behind this proposal is to accommodate increasing motorcycle/scooter parking demands in Balmoral. The conversion of the single parallel parking space into a dedicated Motorbike Parking area could accommodate approximately 5-8 scooters/motorcycles, and in doing so, minimise the occurrence of single scooters/motorcycles occupying entire parking spaces elsewhere in Balmoral.
A diagram showing the proposed location is provided in the "Photos" section to the right-hand side of this page.
If you would like to comment on this proposal, Council requests that any feedback be provided by Friday, 29 October 2021.
