Consultation has concluded
Welcome to the Imagine Mosman 2032 engagement site! We will be using this site to keep you informed about the development of Mosman's next Community Strategic Plan - MOSPLAN 2022-2032 - and to continue seeking feedback on what's important to the Mosman community - now and over the next decade.
This will help create a clearer picture of the vision residents have for Mosman's future. In turn, this will then help point the way to what Council and others can do to bring the vision to life.
Keep a watch out for new inclusions on this site via the news feed below for more opportunities to be involved.

What have you been telling us so far?
Share What have you been telling us so far? on Facebook Share What have you been telling us so far? on Twitter Share What have you been telling us so far? on Linkedin Email What have you been telling us so far? linkOver recent months Mosman's residents, businesses and community community groups have been engaging in a variety of consultations, telling us what they value about their community, what they like and dislike and what they’d like to see in Mosman’s future.
Despite the challenges of COVID lockdowns, we’ve been able to harness views through random and self-select surveys, focus groups and writing and drawing competitions for our young people. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far!
It’s clear that the preservation of Mosman’s natural beauty and environmental qualities are especially important. Mosman residents love the beaches and harbour foreshores, the village atmosphere, Mosman’s central location, sense of community and the quality of life they enjoy. Issues of traffic, parking and cost of living are far less popular. Residents would like to see attention being given to traffic management, parking, environmental protection and climate action in future years, together with the preservation of Mosman’s character and careful management of future development in the area.
Details of consultation results to date can be found in the Document Library, on the right-hand side of this site. This information will be used by the Council elected in December 2021 to help develop a new Community Strategic Plan and Delivery Program for Mosman, for the period starting 1 July 2022.
Stay tuned for further opportunities to be involved.

Register for a Community Conversation!
Share Register for a Community Conversation! on Facebook Share Register for a Community Conversation! on Twitter Share Register for a Community Conversation! on Linkedin Email Register for a Community Conversation! linkCouncil will be hosting a series of three online conversations in October, as the next phase in developing its new Community Strategic Plan, MOSPLAN.
The conversations will each have a specific focus, ranging from traffic and transport, to social connections, Mosman’s village lifestyle, and natural spaces.
An invitation is extended to all interested residents to attend up to two of these sessions. All conversations will be limited to a maximum of 10 residents and will last up to one and a half hours.
See below for information about each of the conversations. There will be an afternoon and evening session for each.
You can register for the session that best suits you using the ‘Register Now’ button for that session. Spaces in each session are strictly limited and we ask that you register for no more than two sessions, to give others opportunities to participate.
Questions regarding the Community Conversations, should be directed to Sarah Artist on 0409 830 283 or at Sarah.Artist@centium.com.au
CONVERSATION 1: It Takes a Village
Mosman residents regularly nominate Mosman’s ‘village feel’ as something they really value, that sets Mosman apart from other areas of Sydney and that they would like to see preserved.
What does the village lifestyle mean, what are the key characteristics of a village, and how does Mosman currently fit the bill? Is our village lifestyle under threat and what should be done in future years to ensure it’s protected? What improvements can be made to promote even greater liveability within our suburb – both day and night?
Session 1 - Wednesday 20 October 2021 - 2.00pm-3.30pm
Online Zoom session. Tickets are limited. Register now.
Session 2 - Tuesday 26 October 2021 – 6.00pm-7.30pm
Online Zoom session. Tickets are limited. Register now.
CONVERSATION 2: Connecting the Dots
There are a range of connections that are critically important to the Mosman community. Some connections, like traffic and transport, are regularly identified as issues of concern to residents. Other connections fare better, such as social connections, how residents engage with each other and feel valued and supported by their community.
Where are the pressure points for connection in Mosman and what are some of the ways these should be addressed in the future? How can getting around Mosman, or travelling further afield, be meaningfully improved? And in a post-pandemic world, what needs to be done to create an even more vibrant and inclusive community, that not only provides assistance to those in need, but provides all residents with opportunities to connect and enjoy shared spaces and experiences.
Session 1 - Wednesday 20 October 2021 - 6.00pm-7.30pm
Online Zoom session. Tickets are limited. Register now.
Session 2 - Thursday 21 October 2021 – 2.00pm-3.30pm
Online Zoom session. Tickets are limited. Register now.
CONVERSATION 3: It's Only Natural
Mosman’s natural spaces are often quoted as one of the suburb’s greatest, most loved qualities. Bushland, foreshore areas and parklands provide opportunities for conservation, recreation and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. Sometimes they are simply valued for their visual qualities within residential and commercial neighbourhoods.
How do we ensure Mosman’s natural spaces continue to be nurtured and used in the most appropriate ways in years ahead? Should some spaces be given higher priority than others and why? What can be done to support a good balance of uses and what action can be taken to make sure that our natural spaces continue to make a significant contribution to both the local landscape and community life?
Session 1 - Thursday 21 October 2021 - 6.00pm-7.30pm
Online Zoom session. Tickets are limited. Register now.
Session 2 - Tuesday 26 October 2021 – 2.00pm-3.30pm
Online Zoom session. Tickets are limited. Register now.
These online conversations are being held as part of Imagine Mosman 2032, places are strictly limited.
