Consultation has concluded
Council has received an application from the owners of 14 Stanton Road, Mosman to formalise existing encroachments on the Stanton Road road reserve under sections 138 - 140 of the Roads Act 1993.
In 1971 Council granted a permissive occupancy to the previous owners for landscaping of the embankment at the front of 14 Stanton Road including rock walls, steps, pedestrian access bridge and plantings. Since then the permissive occupancy has never been formalised under contemporary legislation and the current owners are now seeking to formalise the existing landscaping and pedestrian access bridge occupying 56m2 of road reserve. No additional works are proposed and the application is purely to continue to use the area for landscaping and access as exists. Accordingly, Council is considering an application for the encroachment to be formalised under the Roads Act 1993. The location of the property is shown on the aerial image and detail of the proposal is shown on the plan – the 56m2 encroachment is highlighted olive green and circled red on the plan.
Submissions regarding the application for the Roads Act 1993 consent will close Thursday 15 December 2016.
Submissions can be made via this website or by regular post to the General Manager, Mosman Council, PO Box 211 SPIT JUNCTION NSW 2088. Please direct any enquiries to 9978 4010.
